We commonly understand the term currency to be a form or medium of payment that has value in exchange for goods and services. Today, I offer you another vantage point to contemplate. In life’s phases of unpredictability, what things of value can you recognize within your surroundings that sustain you emotionally and spiritually?
What simple things have you overlooked, but come to lean on, to help get you through?
What brings you even just a little reprieve of relief, support or comfort that you’re thankful for?
Here are some of mine:
A warm hug from a loved one.
A check in and hello from a close friend.
A happy tail wag and snuggle from my dog.
A delicious meal I didn’t have to prepare, thoughtfully and lovingly made by my husband.
A favorite comfortable nook on the couch I can sink into at the end of my day paired with a soft blanket.
As you can see, life’s most special and valuable currencies are not always in the form of coins or paper bills.
Today, I hope you will discover just how many currencies are there for you!
