Located in the Charleston area, Zen Den Vitality offers two unique wellness services: Private Appointment Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Baths and PEMF Mat Therapy to individual clients in a tranquil atmosphere.  If you have never experienced one before, a Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Bath is a delightful, relaxing, and restorative experience unlike any other.

Let me describe for you what typically happens in one of our Sound Bath Therapy sessions.  You arrive for your Private session comfortably dressed – yoga clothing or light sweat pants are ideal. You may bring with you a favorite throw blanket to ensure you do not become chilled, as your body may become cooler during the session, and for additional comfort, you may bring and use an eye pillow if you wish.  You may recline on one of our comfortable chaise lounges to allow your body’s full relaxation or if you would prefer, you may opt to sit in one of our barrel chairs. After asking you a few questions about how you are feeling, I will offer the names of a few compositions I think you would benefit most from, and let you select the name of the one I will play for you – the rest is up to me.

The lighting ambiance will be soft and the room temperature comfortable. You may hear the ticking of the clock or the trickling of my water fountain as I begin to play. When you feel ready, I will ask you to simply focus on your breathing, close your eyes and just listen. You may experience random thoughts as you resist relaxing for which I will encourage you dismiss them lightly and to return to your breath. I advise that unbeknownst to you, once your body starts relaxing, your muscles may involuntarily twitch, which may startle you back to the present or, you might even begin to snore, both of which are entirely normal and not to be embarrassed about.  It is OK, just:  Let…..It…..Go!

As you delight in the soothing sounds of my Crystal Singing Bowls, your body will gently begin to release tension, your breathing and heart rate will slow, and you may even appear to fall asleep. Likely, what you will experience, is your mind’s descension into a semi-present meditative state while transferring from Alpha Brain Wave mode to Theta Brain Wave mode. You may even, should you become extremely relaxed, enter Delta Brain Wave mode, which is affiliated with full sleep especially if you opt for a one-hour session. All the while, I will continue to play my beautiful bowls quietly leaving you undisturbed.

At the conclusion, to bring you gently back to the present and signal that I have completed the composition, I will play key sounds I had demonstrated to you prior to beginning the session.  You may initially feel drowsy but after coming to, many of my clients express feeling amazingly refreshed, noting how relaxed they feel and that any tension they had arrived with, has literally disappeared.  Some clients have told me that hours later they have felt invigorated with greater energy.
